These Terms govern your use of the whai mobile app and related services (together, “whai”). By creating an account or using whai, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use whai.
What whai provides
whai offers daily reflection questions and a private journal. You can write an entry, choose a mood, revisit past entries, and choose whether to receive a daily reminder. whai may change or discontinue features, but we will give reasonable notice of significant changes when practical.
whai is a reflection tool. Its questions and content are not medical advice, mental health treatment, crisis support, or a substitute for professional care. If you need urgent help, contact local emergency or crisis services.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to use whai where you live. You need an account to use the journal. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure and for activity under your account. Tell us at support@findwhai.app if you believe someone has gained unauthorized access.
Your journal
Your entries remain yours. You give us permission to store, transmit, back up, and display them only as needed to operate whai and provide the features you choose. We do not obtain ownership of your writing. whai does not currently use entries to generate shared questions or train AI models.
Other whai users cannot access your entries through the app. whai stores a copy on your device and tries to sync entries to its server. A device-only entry may be lost if the device is lost, damaged, reset, or its app data is removed. Local saves and server sync can fail. whai does not provide end-to-end encryption, and its local app storage does not separately encrypt journal text. The Privacy Policy explains the data handling in more detail.
You may delete individual entries or request account deletion in Settings. Account deletion removes your entries from whai's active database and requests deletion of your Clerk account; a minimal account identifier remains to prevent an old session from recreating the account. The Privacy Policy explains local copies, incomplete deletion attempts, backups, and other retention that may apply.
Acceptable use
Use whai lawfully. Do not try to access another person's account or entries, disrupt the service, bypass security controls, or use the app to infringe someone else's rights. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service. We will provide notice and a way to contact us when practical.
whai content and third-party services
whai owns or licenses the app, its design, and its questions. These Terms give you permission to use them for personal, noncommercial use of whai; they do not transfer ownership to you.
Sign-in is provided through Clerk and may use an identity provider such as Apple or Google, depending on the options available in the app. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms. whai is responsible for its own service and Privacy Policy.
Availability and responsibility
We work to keep whai available and your entries accessible, but interruptions and errors can occur. Keep a separate copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent the law permits, whai is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or suitability for a particular purpose.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as whai changes. We will post the revised Terms with a new effective date and give notice of material changes through the app or another reasonable channel. If a change requires your agreement under applicable law, we will ask for it before it applies to you. If you do not accept updated Terms, you may stop using whai and delete your account.
